The dome is nestled on a hill among oak trees making it a secluded oasis for couples to getaway! Good to know
The SkyDome's primary living area features a “floating” king-sized bed. The design scheme features organic neutral tones accented by touches of greenery. Beautiful white barrel chairs placed in front of the large bay window provide a perfect place to read, meditate or simply enjoy the beautiful view. The kitchen features black leathered granite countertops, a mini fridge and freezer, coffee bar, microwave, dual hot plate, and assorted snacks. The sleek design of the restroom creates a relaxing environment to get ready for the day. Hair dryer, cotton balls and q-tips are available as well as razors, make-up wipes, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The outdoor seating area with a propane fire pit offers a great place to sit and have coffee in the morning or s’mores at night. And a propane grill is available for those itching to grill out. Through the back door you will walk down a rock path to the most unique feature --- the incredible outdoor shower surrounded by bamboo. And a dip in the ModTub hot tub will take the chill off any cool night! Because it is located near Lake Texoma, Lake Kiowa, and Lake Ray Roberts, the SkyDome Hideaway is the perfect place to stay and play! You can shop the cute downtowns of Whitesboro and Gainesville, or take a tour of nearby wineries. You will also be within driving distance of Megastar, Winstar, and Choctaw Casinos. So, come experience the first and only dome in the DFW/North Texas area only an hour north of the metroplex. See you soon!
Other Details to Note
This experience is "glamping" --- glamorous camping! The dome's walls are thin like a tent. So, as in other outdoor camping, sights and sounds of nature (insects, birds, animals, snakes, etc.) might be experienced. So, if you are a light sleeper, please bring your own earplugs or white noise machine. Our OakHill mascot, a black Aussie-Doodle, roams the property when we are not home. He has a big bark, but is really friendly. So, if you are afraid of dogs, we might not be the right place for your stay. For photographers: Please make an inquiry about the details of your desired photoshoot. Be advised, we do not allow the dome to be used as a temporary studio in which multiple clients will come and go for scheduled appointments. The parking area is monitored by video cameras. Adults only. The SkyDome is designed to be a retreat for couples. We love children, but the SkyDome is not set up with safety features or activities for kids. NO PETS, not even service animals. Violators must find a local boarding kennel or will be asked to leave. Smoking and vaping is only allowed outside. Evidence of indoor smoking will incur an additional $200 cleaning fee. HOT TUB WAIVER OF LIABILITY: Guests are welcome to enjoy the hot tub during their stay. By choosing to reserve the SkyDome, guests acknowledge and accept that they use the hot tub at their own risk. The host is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or health-related issues that may arise from its use. Please follow all posted safety guidelines.
