The dome is nestled on a hill among oak trees making it a secluded oasis for couples to getaway! Good to know

The SkyDome's primary living area features a “floating” king-sized bed. The design scheme features organic neutral tones accented by touches of greenery. Beautiful white barrel chairs placed in front of the large bay window provide a perfect place to read, meditate or simply enjoy the beautiful view. The kitchen features black leathered granite countertops, a mini fridge and freezer, coffee bar, microwave, dual hot plate, and assorted snacks. The sleek design of the restroom creates a relaxing environment to get ready for the day. Hair dryer, cotton balls and q-tips are available as well as razors, make-up wipes, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The outdoor seating area with a propane fire pit offers a great place to sit and have coffee in the morning or s’mores at night. And a propane grill is available for those itching to grill out. Through the back door you will walk down a rock path to the most unique feature --- the incredible outdoor shower surrounded by bamboo. And a dip in the ModTub hot tub will take the chill off any cool night! Because it is located near Lake Texoma, Lake Kiowa, and Lake Ray Roberts, the SkyDome Hideaway is the perfect place to stay and play! You can shop the cute downtowns of Whitesboro and Gainesville, or take a tour of nearby wineries. You will also be within driving distance of Megastar, Winstar, and Choctaw Casinos. So, come experience the first and only dome in the DFW/North Texas area only an hour north of the metroplex. See you soon!

Other Details to Note

This experience is "glamping" --- glamorous camping! The dome's walls are thin like a tent. So, as in other outdoor camping, sights and sounds of nature (insects, birds, animals, snakes, etc.) might be experienced. So, if you are a light sleeper, please bring your own earplugs or white noise machine. Our OakHill mascot, a black Aussie-Doodle, roams the property when we are not home. He has a big bark, but is really friendly. So, if you are afraid of dogs, we might not be the right place for your stay. For photographers: Please make an inquiry about the details of your desired photoshoot. Be advised, we do not allow the dome to be used as a temporary studio in which multiple clients will come and go for scheduled appointments. The parking area is monitored by video cameras. Adults only. The SkyDome is designed to be a retreat for couples. We love children, but the SkyDome is not set up with safety features or activities for kids. NO PETS, not even service animals. Violators must find a local boarding kennel or will be asked to leave. Smoking and vaping is only allowed outside. Evidence of indoor smoking will incur an additional $200 cleaning fee. HOT TUB WAIVER OF LIABILITY: Guests are welcome to enjoy the hot tub during their stay. By choosing to reserve the SkyDome, guests acknowledge and accept that they use the hot tub at their own risk. The host is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or health-related issues that may arise from its use. Please follow all posted safety guidelines.

House rules

NO SMOKING or VAPING in the SkyDome, hot tub, or surrounding area. If you must smoke/vape, please do so in your vehicle or in the firepit patio area only. Otherwise, if evidence of smoking is found in/around the SkyDome, a $200 surcharge will be requested . NO burning CANDLES. (The smoke particles from candles are attracted to the vinyl dome cover and severely discolor it.) We ask that guests remove their shoes at the door in order to keep the SkyDome as clean as possible. So, bring house shoes or warm socks! Thank you!

Guest Access

The SkyDome is secluded and offers plenty of privacy. The closest structure is approximately 250' away but is separated by a wooded area. You will also have access to a public walking path through the woods at Oak Hill. Access to the SkyDome requires walking up approximately 20 stairs. So, not wheelchair accessible. Contactless check-in with a keypad on the door is provided.

My partner and I had such a nice time together at this peaceful dome. We were very pleased and welcomed by the host and their gorgeous dog, Sebby! We are very thankful for the help we were provided. So sad the trip was cut short due to adulting but so happy we made time for this trip!! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Skydome! The place exceeded our expectations in every way. The dome itself is beautiful, unique, and super cozy. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into making sure guests feel welcome. Finally a place that really matches the pictures and descriptions, we came for a romantic night and it was magical!! The host responded to all my emails in minutes, she even recommended about places nearby. Clean place, silent, good smell, bottle of champagne with chocolate and a beautiful music was on when we came in . Kitchen & bathroom was well equipped. There was also card games and yoga mattress . Outside shower & hot tub We’re so cool. Really recommended it but also want it for myself only đŸ€­đŸ€Ł.

Charles and Laurie were fantastic hosts. My wife and I had only one night to celebrate our “honeymoon” and we chose to celebrate here at the Skydome. It was beautiful and secluded. When we arrived, they had even left some flower petals and a bottle of sparkling cider for us to celebrate our marriage. Then to top it all off, we were awakened the following morning by rain pattering on the roof of the dome. It was the most peaceful way to wake up. We’re definitely thinking of coming back for our 1 year anniversary. P.S. Please please PLEASE go to their little diner out in Whitesboro called Lovejoy’s. It was probably the best food experience my wife and I have had in a very long time.
